Beautiful English Georgian antique solid sterling silver sugar tongs. They are hallmarked with the lion passant mark along with the the makers marks of Hester Bateman. They have been beautifully designed with a bright cut pattern and have been engraved with the initials WAI. They are in good condition being free from dings splits but do have a small area of repair see final photo. They measure over 3.5 inches (14.2cm) long by and weigh 34 grams. Unusual examples.
