17th CENTURY CRAVED WOODEN HANDLED FORK STERLING SILVER 1937 CHERUBS ANTIQUE.

£135.00
Item number: 276//17//29

A beautiful English solid sterling silver and craved wooden handled fork. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1937 with the maker being R F Mosley & Co (Robert Fead Mosley). It has been beautifully designed with the wooden handle being craved depicting cherubs - the handle is much older than the silver I'd estimate late 17th early 18th century. It is in very good condition being free from dings splits chips and repairs. It measures over 7 inches (18cm) long by over 0.75 inch (2.4cm) wide across the handle and weighs 45 grams. A beautifully designed example.
