A rare English Edwardian antique solid sterling silver combination vesta / sovereign case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1902 with the maker being G Loveridge & Co (George Loveridge). It has been superbly designed with one end being a vesta case and the other a sovereign coin case. The cartouche has been engraved with initials. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 3.25 inches (8.2cm) long including the loop by 1.5 inches (3.4cm) wide by 0.50 inch (1.2cm) tall and weighs 44 grams. A very high quality rare example.
