A super quality rare English antique solid sterling silver wax seal and wax holder. It is hallmarked for London 1911 with the maker being the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company. It has been superbly designed being sprung like a peg so it holds the wax tightly, the other end is a blank seal. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, faint marks near the wax holding end. It measures approx. 5 inches (13cm) long (excluding the wax) by almost 1 inch (2.6cm) wide and weighs 57 grams. A top quality rare example.
