A superb antique solid sterling silver napkin ring. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1881 with the makers marks being RM over EH. It has been beautifully designed being engraved with ferns (this being the period of Fern Fever when mainly affluent ladies searched the countryside for ferns) along with a crest used by the Rayner, Dower and Derham Families. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 1.75 inches (4.1cm) wide by 1.25 inches (3cm) tall and weighs 17 grams. A very pretty high quality piece.
