A rare Georgian era antique Anglo Indian solid sterling silver marrow scoop. It is hallmarked with the makers marks of Pittar and Co of Calcutta who operated 1825-1848. It has been superbly designed and has a faint ships sail crest to its reverse, this is used by the Page, The Boggs and the Boggis Families and others. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions or repairs. It measures approx. 8.25 inches (21cm) long by almost 0.75 inch (1.9cm) wide and weighs 55 grams. A very high quality rare piece.
