A rare English Victorian antique solid sterling novelty swan, possibly a pin cushion. It is hallmarked for Chester 1900 with the maker's mark being rubbed. It has been beautifully designed and is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, slight push to the neck base see final photo. If used as a pin cushion a cushion will need to be inserted. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.4cm) long by 1.25 inches (3.2cm) wide by 2.25 inches (5.6cm) tall and weighs 24 grams. A very unusual piece.
