A pretty antique solid sterling silver and gold cigarette case. It is hallmarked with silver marks and tests as 840 standard. I would date it to c1950. It has been superbly designed being engraved with birds to one side and patterns to the reverse. The front has applied gold initials SD. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 4 inches (10cm) by 3.25 inches and weighs 133 grams. A very high quality example.
