A pretty English solid sterling silver and enamel box. It is hallmarked for London 1978 with the maker being St James House Company. It has been superbly made with the lid being enamelled with a hand painted Duck, 45 of only 50 made. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. No chips cracks or repairs to the enamel but there is a dark mark behind the duck, this is under the glaze so party of the design but it looks a little odd to me. It measures approx. 1.25 inches (3.2cm) tall by the same in height and weighs 27 grams. A nice quality piece.
