A top quality fascinating sterling silver cigar case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1916 with the makers marks being WNLtd. It has been superbly made and interestingly engraved which relates to the Newcastle Meat Trades Fund raising £500 for the Red Cross by selling a Donkey - note this was during WWI in which the Red Cross played an incredible role. It is in very good condition being free from dings splits and repairs, a few tiny marks to the reverse see final photo. It measures 5 inches (13cm) by 3.5 inches (8.7cm) wide by 0.5 inches wide and weighs 180 grams. A stunning historic piece.
