A beautiful rare English William IV antique solid sterling silver gilt travelling inkwell. It is hallmarked for London 1835 with the maker being Archibald Douglas. It has been superbly made with the silver lid being completely gilded (gold on silver). It is in superb condition being free from dings splits chips cracks and repairs. It measures approx. 2 inches (5cm) square by 1.5 inches tall and weighs 116 grams. A beautifully made rare piece.
