A superb rare Chinese export solid silver letter opener. It is marked with a Chinese Character mark and I would ate it to c1900-1920. It has been superbly made with the handle being in the form of the Chinese character symbol for happiness and the stem in the form of bamboo. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures over 7.5 inches (19.2cm) long by almost 1.75 inches (4.2cm) wide and weighs 32 grams. A rare piece.
