A super quality heavy English solid sterling silver letter opener. It is hallmarked for London 1958 with the maker being William Comyns & Sons. It has been superbly designed with the handle being cast in the form of a male pheasant. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 6.75 inches (17.2cm) long by 2.25 inches (5.6cm) wide at the handle and weighs 92 grams. A very nicely designed example.
