A beautiful rare English Victorian antique solid sterling silver travelling inkwell. It is hallmarked for London 1864 with the maker being Wright & Davies (William Thomas Wright & Frederick Davies). It has been superbly made with the silver lid being engraved with a crest used by the Burke and Butler families (and others). It is in superb condition being free from dings splits chips cracks and repairs. It measures approx. 3.5 inches (8.8cm) long by over 1.5 inches (4.1cm) wide by 1.5 inches (3.8cm) tall and weighs 192 grams. A beautifully made rare piece.
