A beautiful antique solid sterling silver wax seal. It is unmarked but tests as high grade silver - I would date it to c1890-1910 most likely French.  It has been superbly designed having a bone handle engraved and gilded with flowers and a butterfly. The seal end appears to have the initial ELL. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.2cm) long and weighs 12 grams. A superb piece.
