A very unusual English solid sterling silver letter opener. It is hallmarked for London 1977 with the maker being D J Hill (Jewellery) Ltd. It has been superbly made with the terminal being decorated with a cast knot. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 9 inches (22.8cm) by 1 inch (2.6cm) across the knot wide and weighs 46 grams. A very nicely designed example.
