£475.00
Item number: 404/180/26

A rare Scottish provincial antique solid sterling silver and antler page turner (Used to turn papers so not to get ink on fingers or damage books which were expensive at this time). It is hallmarked for Edinburgh 1921 with the maker being Fraser, Ferguson & McBean a Inverness silversmith. It has been superbly designed with the turner and handle cap being made from solid sterling silver and the handle from a stag antler. It is in super condition being free from dings slits and repairs. It measures over 11 inches (28cm) long by 1.75 inches (4.5cm) wide at its widest point of the handle and weighs 172 grams. A very interesting and rare item.
