ANTIQUE RARE VICTORIAN ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED SERVING SPOON WARMER c1880 ENGLISH

A rare English Victorian antique silver plated spoon warmer. It is marked 1546 1/2 and I would ate it to c1880 when these were all the rage. Note you remove the well and fill the base with boiling water. You can then rest the serving spoon on it keeping it warm so as to not cool the food you are serving - this is from a time when big houses could be quite cold. It has been superbly made and is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs, no wear. It measure approx. 11.5 inches (29.2cm) long including the handle and 6.25 inches (15.8cm) long excluding it by over 4.5 inches (11.8cm) wide by 3 inches (7.6cm) to the top of the handle and weigh 340 grams. A super quality rare piece.
