A beautiful English solid sterling silver gilt decorative egg box and stand. The egg is hallmarked for London 1981 and the stand 1979 both with the same makers mark of St James House Company. It has been superbly designed being gilded and set with a purple coloured gem stone. It is in superb condition free from dings splits holes and repairs. The egg measures approx. 2.5 inches (6.4cm) tall by over 1.5 inches (4.2cm) wide and the stand measures over 1 inch (2.8cm) tall. The egg weighs 60 grams and the stand 10 grams. A very pretty example.
