A beautiful rare English Victorian antique solid sterling silver table snuff box. It is hallmarked for Chester 1896 with the maker being William Neale. It has been superbly designed with a scroll design and the cartouche has been engraved with the initials AL. It is in super condition being free from dings holes and repairs, there is a single tiny split to the corner see final photo. The hinge is smooth and tight, the inside gilded and clean. It measures over 2 inches (5.4cm) across by 1.5 inches (3.8cm) wide by 0.75 inch (1.9cm) tall and weighs 54 grams. A high quality piece.
