A super quality solid sterling silver and gold snuff or pill box. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1995 with the maker being PJD for Peter John Doherty, made for Gallagher's who had links to Aspreys and Garrards. It has a stylish engine turned design with a gold band. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. The hinge is smooth and tight, the lid tight fitting. The JJG (J J Gallagher) logo is on the base. It measures over 1.75 inches (4.6cm) across by 1.25 inches (3.3cm) wide by 0.5 inch (1.1cm) tall and weighs 40 grams. A very high quality example.
