A superb Scottish solid sterling silver and treen wooden trinket box. It is hallmarked for Edinburgh London 1984 with the maker being Mercator Manufacturing Ltd (Mark Charles Hutchinson) who produce pieces for Luxury Brands. It has been superbly designed being turned for wood and has a sterling silver disc inset to its lid. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 2.25 inches (5.6cm) across by 1 inch (2.6cm) tall and weighs 48 grams. A very nicely made piece.
