A super quality rare German Hanau sterling silver novelty vesta case. It is hallmarked with the 925 silver standard mark and a makers mark, I would date it to c1960. It has been superbly designed being in the form of Mr Punch and has red gem stone eyes. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, it works perfectly with a strong mechanism. It measures over 2.25 inches (5.9cm) tall by 1.5 inches (3.8cm) wide and weighs 26 grams. A quality rare example.
