A stunning very high quality very heavy solid silver lion. It is hallmarked with Portuguese 833 silver standard marks used 1938-1985 and a makers mark. I would date it to c1950. It has been beautifully designed being very finely cast in the form of a male lion. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.6cms) long by 1.75 inches tall and weighs 158 grams. A top quality piece.
