A nice quality interesting early Victorian fork. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1838, note the assay office is still using the Kings Head duty mark although Queen Victoria was now on the thrown. It has a bone handle bearing the crest of what I think is the Holmes Family. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures 6.25 inches (16cm) long and weighs 25 grams. A nice quality example.
