A superb German 800 solid silver pepper pot. It is hallmarked with German state marks along with the 800 silver standard mark. It dates to c1900-1910. It has been superbly designed being in the form of a traditional boy. It is in superb condition being free from dings, splits, holes and repairs. Note the head placed on facing forward wobbles but doesn't when twisted to the side - either way it is secure. (I think he was intended to face sideways at a matching girl pepper?) It measures approx. 4 inches (10cm) tall by 2.5 inches wide and weighs 63 grams. A quality piece.
