A beautifully made Victorian Aesthetic Movement sterling silver salt cellar and spoon. They are hallmarked for London 1879 with the makers marks being the Barnards. It has superbly designed being engraved with birds (possibly Swallows or Swifts) amongst flowers and trees. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, gilded inside. The spoon measures approx. 3 inches (7.2cm) long the salt a touch over 2 inches (5.2cms) wide and combined they weigh 38 grams. A superb example.
