A beautiful hand made English solid sterling silver spoon. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1974 with the maker being AE Jones. It has been superbly made as a replica of a fourth century Roman Christening spoon that was found in Traprain Law a Scottish Settlement south of the Forth. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 6.25 inches (16.1cm) long by over 1.25 inches (3.6cm) wide and weighs 28 grams. An interestingly made piece.
