A rare English Georgian antique solid sterling silver and mother of pearl double folding magnifying glass / jewellers loupe. It is unmarked but test as high grade silver. I would date it to c1800s. It has been superbly designed and is in super condition being free from dings chips holes and repairs, there is a crack to the mother of pearl on one side but it has no effect. it magnifies well with a different magnification for each lens. It measures approx. 2.75 inches (7.2cm) long fully unfolded and 1.25 inches (3.4cm) folded by over 0.75 inch (2cm) wide and weighs 32 grams. A very nice quality rare piece.
