A superb heavy English solid sterling silver souvenir medal. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1986 with the maker being Jack Spencer (Silversmith) Ltd. It has been made to mark the opening of Sheffield's Assay Office Guardian's Hall, it was opened on the 12th December 1986 by Queen Elizabeth II. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 2 inches (5.1cm) across and weighs 44 grams. A well made piece.
