A stunningly beautiful and rare solid sterling silver and enamel cigarette case. It is hallmarked for Chester 1921 with the maker being Dingley Brothers. It has been beautifully made having a hand painted music playing cherub scene emerging from an egg and has a engine turned reverse and a gilded interior. It has been engraved inside 'With best wishes from L256'. It is in outstanding condition being free from dings, splits and repairs, the enamel is perfect. It measures approx. 3.25 inches (8.2cm) tall by over 2.25 inches (6cm) wide and weighs 70 grams. A beautifully designed rare piece about as good as it gets.
