A beautiful designed pair of English novelty sterling silver cutlery rests. They are hallmarked for Birmingham 1910 with the maker being HWLd. They have been beautifully designed in the form of Teddy Bears - Teddy Bears were only invented less than a decade earlier and by this time they had become a craze. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, tiny hole to one foot on the base possibly always been there see final photo. They measure approx. 3.75 inches (9.2cm) long by 1.75 inch (4cm) tall and have a combined weight of 52 grams. Very unusual examples.
