A beautiful German Hanau solid silver novelty box. It is hallmarked German Hanau marks and dates to c1900. It has been superbly designed being in the form of a love heart and decorated with cherubs. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, gilded inside, light scratches to the gilding. The lid closes tightly. It measures approx. 2 inches (5cm) across by the same front to back by over 0.5 inch (1.3cm) tall and weighs 30 grams. A very pretty piece.
