A rare English Victorian antique solid sterling novelty swan, possibly a pin cushion. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1897 with the maker's mark being rubbed. It has been beautifully designed and is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, if used as a pin cushion a cushion will need to be inserted. It measures approx. 2.75 inches (7cm) long by over 1.25 inches (3.3cm) wide by over 2 inches (5.6cm) tall and weighs 30 grams. A very unusual piece.
