RARE CHARLES HORNER CAST STERLING SILVER ARTS & CRAFTS TURQUOISE DISH 1888

£225.00
Item number: 36235

A beautiful hand made cast English antique solid sterling silver dish. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1880 with the maker being Charles Horner (for some reason the assay office has forgot to stamp it with the Queens head duty mark)? It has a beautiful Arts and Crafts design being cast rather like Russian samorodok work and decorated with turquoise beads inserted into the feet - Horner experimented with various techniques over the years. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.6cm) long by 2.25 inches (5.6cm) wide by almost 0.75 inch (1.7cm) and weighs 50 grams. A stunning rare little piece.
