A very high quality cast Japanese 900 solid silver dachshund dog figure. It is hallmarked with the 900 silver standard mark and the artists signature, I would estimate it dates to c1920-1940. It has been beautifully designed being cast and finely engraved. It is in perfect condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 7 inches (17.8cm) long by 1.5 inches (3.8cm) wide at its widest point by 2.5 inches (6.4cm) tall and weighs 338 grams (total silver weight i.e not filled or weighted). A beautiful impressive piece.
