A beautiful solid silver Persian cigarette case. It is hallmarked with Persian silver marks and tests as high grade silver. I would date it to c1920-1940. It has been beautifully hand made being engraved and chased. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, gilded inside. It is sprung so automatically closes. It measures over 4.25 inches (11.2cm) long by almost 3.25 inches (8cm) wide and weighs 134 grams. A superbly designed beautiful example.
