A very unusual Japanese solid sterling swan salt cellar. It is hallmarked ASAHI STERLING 950 standard. I would date it to c1920. It has superbly designed being cast in the form of a swan. It is in superb condition being free from splits. The liner does not come out. It measures approx. 2 inches (5cm) long beak to tail by 1.25 inches (3.2cm) wide by over 1.5 inches (4.2cm) tall and weighs 22 grams. A very unusual piece.
