A rare very heavy cased limited edition solid sterling silver souvenir spoon. It is hallmarked for London 1969 with the maker being JDB, it is also numbered 172 so would have been part of a limited edition. It has been superbly made with the terminal being cast in the form of a Welsh dragon its tail spiralling around the handle and terminating on the bowl reverse. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, the case likewise is superb. The spoon measures approx. 6.25 inches (15.8cm) long by over 1.5 inches (4.1cm) wide and weighs an impressive 82 grams, excluding the case. A very nice quality rare example.
