A rare English Victorian antique solid sterling silver candle snuffer. It is hallmarked for London 1894 with the maker being Sampson Mordan & Co. It has a superb designed being a long tube allowing the butler/ housekeeper to reach candles mounted high on walls and candelabras on a ladder. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, just a single tiny dimple see final photo. It measures approx. 12 inches (30.5cm) long by over 1 inch (2.8cm) at its widest point and weighs 42 grams. A rare piece.
