A rare pair of French solid sterling silver cutlery rests. They are hallmarked with the 950 Mercury export mark along with the makers mark being Maison Cardeilhac who operated in Paris from 1851 to 1904. I would date these to c1880s. They have been beautifully designed and are in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. They measure approx. 3.5 inches (9cm) long by 1.5 inches (3.6cm) across by over 1 inch (2.8cm) tall and have a combined weight of 112 grams. Very good quality beautiful examples.
