A beautiful heavy French antique solid sterling silver handled bowl. It is hallmarked with the French 950 Mercury head mark along with the maker mark of Eugène Lefèbvre who operated in Paris from 1888 to 1924, I would date this piece to c1890. It has been superbly made having beautifully decorated handles. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, just the odd faint mark see final photo. It measures approx. 6.75 inches (16.6cm) across including the handles and 3.75 inches (9.4cm) excluding them by 2.25 inches (5.6cm) tall and weighs 168 grams. A very nice example.
