A rare English antique solid sterling silver caddy spoon. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1911 with the maker being C W Fletcher & Son Ltd (Charles William Fletcher). It has been very nicely designed with the terminal being in the form of Durham Cathedrals Lion know as the Sanctuary Knocker, a 12th-century bronze, lion-like beast on the north door that allowed fugitives to claim 37 days of protection (sanctuary). The bowl has been engraved with the image of Durham Cathedral. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 3.25 inches (8.3cm) long by over 1 inch (3cm) wide and weighs 12 grams. A very well made piece.
