A superb large heavy solid silver table box. It is hallmarked with Austrian 800 solid silver marks used 1872-1922. I would date this to c1900-1910. It has been superbly designed being embossed with stylised flowers and leaves and is in outstanding condition being free from dings splits and repairs, it closes tightly. It measures approx. 5.5 inches (14.5cm) across by 4.5 inches (11.5cm) wide by over 4 inches tall and weighs 282 grams. A superbly made very high-quality piece.
