A beautiful rare solid silver Indian double ended travelling spice pot. It is unmarked but tests as high grade silver. I would date it to c1890. It has been beautifully hand made being embossed and chased with leaves and flowers. Both ends unscrew and both have a mechanism which closes the holes. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 2.5 inches (6.4cm) tall by 1.5 inches (3.8cm) wide and weighs 80 grams. A superbly designed beautiful example.
