A very unusual very high quality English solid sterling silver novelty box. It is hallmarked STERLING and tests as such. I would date it to c1980. It has been cast from thick gauge silver in the form of a skull with a chain and pin which holds it closed. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, it closes tightly. It measures approx. 1.75 inches (4.5cm) by 1 inch wide and tall and weighs 34 grams. A super fun piece.
