A strange and very unusual sterling silver cup / bowl. It is unmarked but tests as sterling silver - I would date it to c1880 most likely commissioned. It has been unusually designed incorporating three images possibly all representing different images of the Devil, between these are fruit (possibly symbolising the forbidden fruit of the Garde of Eden). The rim and inside has been gilded the base set with a Queen Anne silver coin dating to c1702-1714. It is in superb condition having no dings splits holes or repairs. It measures approx. 3.25 inches (9cm) across by 2.5 inches tall and weighs 166 grams. A very interesting possibly occult piece.
