A beautiful rare cased set of six French solid sterling silver snail (escargot) eating forks / picks, for winkling snails from their shells, (note for ebay there are no shape edges just two prongs on each fork). They are hallmarked with the Minerva Head 950 silver mark and a makers mark. I would date them to c1940-1950. They have been beautifully made having wooden handles and are in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs.  The case has scuffs to its base - see photo). They measure approx. 6.25 inches (16cms) long and have a combined weight of 102 grams, excluding the case. A beautifully made rare set.
