2 GEORGIAN STERLING SILVER GILT CROSSING FAMILY CRESTED EGG SPOONS 1808

A superb pair of English Georgian antique solid sterling silver gilt crested egg spoons. One has been hallmarked for London 1808 with the maker being William Eley I, William Fearn & William Chawner, the other is unmarked but tests as sterling silver (I figure they either forgot to hallmark it or more likely being part of a set a replacement was made at some point for a damaged or stolen one). They have been superbly made being interestingly engraved with a crest used by the Crossing Family. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. They measures approx. 4.75 inches (12.2cm) long by 1 inch (2.6cm) wide and have a combined weight of 38 grams. Interesting early examples.
