£155.00
Item number:
37273
A very rare solid cast English solid sterling silver place card or menu holder. It is hallmarked for London 1981 with the maker being Thomas Charles Jarvis. It has been superbly designed being cast in the form of an Victorian Blacksmith, the place card slots into the foot-scraper. There was a set produced by TC Jarvis - all Victorian street characters but this one is seldom seen. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 2.5 inches (6.4cm) tall by 1.5 inches (3.6cm) across the base and weighs 46 grams. An interesting well made rare example.
